There’s a reason Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly is smiling and applauding. After all, her state just landed another big corporate plant—a $257 million Walmart beef-packing plant.
The plant, to be located in Olathe, will create 667 permanent jobs and bring in about 1,000 other workers to build the 330,000-square-foot plant reported the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
It will also be Walmart’s first owned and operated case-ready beef facility.
