Conservative GOP House members delay gas-stove bills

Stalled House speaker vote delays swearing in for Rhode Island's Magaziner | WJAR

Conservative Republicans in the House who didn’t like the debt deal Speaker Kevin McCarthy reached with the President exacted some revenge this week when they stalled on two bills aimed against the administration’s targeting of gas stoves.

Two bills that were to be voted on Tuesday were stalled when  11 Republicans — most of whom are members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus — voted with Democrats against a rule that would allow the legislation to advance.

No Oklahomans were among the 11 according to The Hill.
