ONE Gas was recently honored for the six consecutive year with an American Gas Association Safety Achievement Award for excellence in employee safety.
The award was presented at the AGA 2023 Operations Conference on May 3 in Grapevine, Texas.
ONE Gas was recognized for having the lowest incident rate for the number of days away from work, restricted, or transferred (DART), which reflects the most severe types of injuries, among similar-sized natural gas distribution companies. The safety scores place ONE Gas among the safest of all natural gas distribution companies nationwide.
The selection was based on the company’s annual safety statistical data for 2022 measured by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Recordable Injuries and Illnesses and Reportable Vehicle Incidents.

“Our safety record reflects 3,800 dedicated individuals who commit to starting when safe each day. I want to thank them for their service to one another and our customers.”
ONE Gas was also named the winner of the 2023 AGA Safety Awareness Video Excellence (SAVE) Award for internal audience video. The entry showed employees the value of accident prevention at home in addition to work.
