New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham says she was appalled at the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision that gave an Idaho couple a victory over WOTUS.

The Democratic governor complained the ruling would leave 905 of New Mexico’s waters without federal protection from development. The Carlsbad Current-Argus reported Lujan Grisham indicated her administration would study how it could use state law to fill any “regulatory gaps” created by the Supreme Court ruling.
