While many think of Montana as Big Sky country, to environmentalists and others it is a state emerging as a climate battleground to watch.
That’s because Gov. Greg Gianforte recently signed a law barring the state from using climate impacts to determine major projects. On top of that, a state judge ruled a first-of-its-kind lawsuit testing whether Montana’s constitution requires the state to combat climate change will go to trial next month reported the Washington Post.
