The 2021 death of a 57-year old worker on the Tesla construction site southeast of Austin was one of more than 1,300 construction deaths in the state of Texas in a 10-year period.
An investigation by the Texas Observer found Texas did not report the death as required by Travis County as part of a tax break deal.
