Congressional Republican leaders are calling for the government to investigate President Biden’s depletion of the nation’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
Leaders of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington and Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee ranking member John Barrasso of Wyoming made the request in a letter to the Government Accountability Office. They want the GAO to investigate the Department of Energy, contending the President’s sale of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve undermined the U.S. energy security reported Fox News.
