New wells reported in northern and eastern Oklahoma

Some of the most recent oil and gas well completions in Oklahoma were n Ellis and Okfuskee Counties.

A completion report filed this week by Duncan Oil Properties Inc. of Oklahoma City was on an Ellis County well that produced 425 barrels of oil a day and 1,238 Mcf of natural gas from the Cleveland formation.

The Dld Farms 2-20hx, located at 20 19N 25W or about 4 miles west of Arnett was completed in January of this year at a drilled depth of 16,540 feet. The well had an October 2022 spud date and its true vertical depth was listed as 8,939 feet according to the completion report.

Another northern Oklahoma well was drilled in Major County by SandRidge Exploration & Production LLC. The Liam 2015 1-36h, located at 36 20N 15W  or east of Seiling produced 384 barrels of oil a day and 984 Mcf of natural gas when completed in November 2022. The well, producing from the Mississippian formation, had a drilled depth of 13,985 feet and the completion report showed a true vertical depth of 9,227 feet. The spud was in August of last year.

Okfuskee County was where Calyx Energy III LLC of Tulsa drilled two Halpert wells on a single pad, completing both in January of this year.

Located at 17 10N 12E. a site southwest of Henryetta, the Halpert 2-17-5ch produced 41 barrels of oil a day and 3,875 Mcf of natural gas from the Mississippian formation. Drilled depth was 17,009 feet and the completion report showed a true vertical depth of 3,421 feet following an August 2022 spud.

The Halpert 1-17-5mh produced only 9 barrels of oil a day while natural gas production was 1,440 Mcf a day. Drilled depth was 16,676 feet and the true vertical depth was 3,682 feet following a spud in August 2022, according to the completion report.
