New Mexico’s U.S. Representatives couldn’t bring themselves to vote for Lower Energy Costs Act

 

We know that all Oklahoma members of the U.S. House voted for the recently-approved Lower Energy Costs Act but what about those from another oil-producing state—-New Mexico?

All three New Mexico Representatives are Democrats and they voted against the Republican-sponsored measure that is designed to speed up oil and gas projects in the U.S.

In a state where the oil and gas industry results in billions of dollars in revenue for the treasury, its members of Congress tend to be Democrats who are opposed to the industry.
