Whenever Ovintiv drills in Kingfisher County—it scores big

Reports show Ovintiv USA had more success with Canadian County wells - Oklahoma Energy Today

 

Credit Ovintiv USA Inc. with another big STACK play score—3 wells on a single pad with combined production of more than 5,500 barrels of oil a day. Five-thousand and 14 barrels a day to be exact.

The Kingfisher county wells were completed in October of last year and Ovintiv just filed completion reports this week with Oklahoma regulators. They are located at 1 16N 8W, a site about 4 miles northwest of the city of Kingfisher.

The Dennis 1608 4h-1x was the largest producer with 2,343 barrels of oil a day and 3,263 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 18,693 feet in the Mississippian. The true vertical depth was 8,290 feet following a March 2022 spud according to the completion report.

The Dennis 1608 3h-1x was next in line with 2,033 barrels of oil a day and 3,224 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 18,408 feet and a true vertical depth of 8,271 feet. It too had a March spud date according to the completion report.

The third well drilled on the same pad, the Dennis 1608 2h-1x, completed Oct. 9, 2022 produced 1,138 barrels of oil a day and 2,344 Mcf of natural gas. Drilled depth in the Mississippian was 18,662 while the true vertical depth, according to the completion report, was 8,371 feet. The well was spud in March of last year.
