First we had wind turbines that came crashing to the ground in northern Oklahoma and other sites across the world. Now there’s the case of a 400-foot tall wind turbine in Illinois that started leaning at an obvious angle.
RWE Renewables Americas LLC, based in Austin, Texas is investigating to learn why its tower started leaning and took the turbine off line. The tower is located near Paxton, Illinois at the Pioneer Trail Wind Farm according to the Ford County Chronicle.
