Crude oil prices rose again on Friday for a second day of gains and Oklahoma energy stocks had an equally strong day.
Oil prices had a strong 1% gain due to growing prospects of lower Russian imports.
The day’s trading saw West Texas Intermediate crude for April delivery, gain 93 cents or 1.2% to reach $76.32 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude finished at $83.16 a barrel, a gain of 95 cents or 1.2% on ICE Futures Europe.
March natural gas rose 14 cents to $2.45 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Most Oklahoma energy stocks recorded gains in Friday’s trading. NGL Energy Partners jumped nearly 10% and Chesapeake Energy gained nearly 6%.
