Chesapeake Energy Corporation plans to release its fourth quarter and full-year financial results on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
The question for investors is—will the fourth quarter be as strong as the third quarter?
The Oklahoma City-based company said the release will be made after the market closes on that day. A conference call with a discussion by management will be held the following day, Wednesday, February 22 at 8 a.m. Central Time.
With a new focus on the Marcellus and Haynesville plays, Chesapeake had a strong third quarter, indicated by the results released in November of 2022. Net cash from its operating activities totaled $1.3 billion while net income was $883 million or $6.12 per diluted share. Adjusted net income was $730 million or $5.06 a diluted share.
As a result, the company paid a quarterly dividend of $3.16 per common share in December 2022 while total dividend to be paid in 2022 were $1.2 billion.
