XTO finishes 9-well project in southern Oklahoma

XTO Energy Inc. filed completion reports this week on 9 wells it drilled in Carter County. It included two sets of multi-wells drilled on single pads. All 9 wells were Hewitt Unit operations and drilled within a mile or two of one another by the Spring, Texas based company.

Three of the wells were drilled at 22 4S 2W, a site about a mile north of the town of Wilson. Their combined production was 428 barrels of oil a day.

The Hewitt Unit 22-5702, completed Nov. 1, 2022 at a depth of 3,645 feet, produced 104 barrels of oil a day with no natural gas. It was spudded in early August.

The Hewitt Unit 22-6005, completed Sept. 22 at a drilled depth of 3,832 feet, produced 249 barrels of oil a day and no gas. It had been spudded in July. The third well, the Hewitt Unit 22-5103, produced 75 barrels of oil a day and no gas from a drilled depth of 4,115 feet. It was completed Oct. 14 following a July spud date.

The Hewitt Unit 15-4304, drilled in an adjoining section at 15 4S 2W, produced 120 barrels of oil a day and no gas from a drilled depth of 2,963 feet. The well had a September spud date with completion on Dec. 13, 2022.

Still another well, the Hewitt Unit 23-5802, completed Oct. 28 at a depth of 4,857 feet in an adjoining section, 23 4S 2W, produced 151 barrels of oil a day. It had an early August spudding according to its completion report.

Two wells were drilled on a single pad at 16 4S 2W , again a site about a mile or two from the town of Wilson. The Hewitt Unit 16-1904, completed Dec. 18, 2022 following a September spudding, produced 188 barrels of oil a day. Its drilled depth was 3,470 feet.

The Hewitt Unit 16-6303, drilled on the same pad and completed Dec. 7, 2022, produced 85 barrels of oil a day from a depth of 3,327 feet. It had a Sept. 18 spudding according to the completion report.

The Hewitt Unit 27-0204 was completed Dec. 8 from a depth of 4,642 feet and produced 258 barrels of oil a day. The site, 27 4S 2W, is just east of the town of Wilson. It had a late August spud date.

The final Hewitt well, the Hewitt Unit 21-0303, completed Dec. 8, 2022 produced 5 barrels of oil a day from a depth of 3,726 feet. Located at 21 4S 2W, just north of Wilson, the well was spudded Sept. 3, 2022.
