Media still banned from Keystone spill site in Kansas

Even as the operator of the Keystone pipeline reopened a Kansas segment affected by an oil spill last month, a ban on media and other entities from flying drones in the area remains in effect.

The oil is flowing again on the repaired Keystone Pipeline section where 14,000 barrels of crude spilled into a northern Kansas creek, but drones are still banned from flying over the site.

The ban also includes the media, a move that prevents the public from seeing the full impact of the oil spill reported the Topeka Capital-Journal.
