Little pollution impact is expected from upcoming public land sale in Permian Basin

 

The Biden administration admits that the leasing of New Mexico public land in an upcoming sale to the oil and gas industry would have little impact on pollution.

The Bureau of Land Management published an environmental assessment Jan. 4 for an auction of oil and gas leases planned for May, offering 19 parcels on 3,280 acres in Eddy, Lea and Chaves counties in southeast New Mexico.
