Crude oil prices fell on Friday and Oklahoma energy stocks also had a weak day in trading.
The fall in prices meant they wrapped up the week with a flat to lower finish, thanks to reports a strong Russian oil supply offset U.S. economic data that was better-than-expected.
West Texas Intermediate crude dropped 1.6% on a $1.33 a barrel fall to $79.68 on the New York Mercantile Exchange. For the week, WTI finished 2% lower.
Global benchmark Brent crude fell nearly 1% on an 81 cent-a-barrel slip to close at $86.66 on ICE Futures Europe. It meant Brent crude finished 3 cents higher than the previous week.
February natural gas rose 17 cents to $3.11 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Oklahoma energy stocks finished the week with a mixed and somewhat weak day of trading. The biggest gain was 1% for Alliance Resource Partners while the largest loss of the day was 2.51% for Chesapeake Energy.
