Drone maker supplies Navy in new deal

Navy Buys XQ-58A Valkyries For Secretive 'Killer' Drone Project

Kratos, the drone maker with production in Oklahoma City, completed a recent deal allowing the U.S Navy to become the newest operator of the firm’s XQ-58A Valkyrie drone.

Some of the details are still classified according to a report by The Drive which said it’s part of a “killer” program. Under the now-revealed deal, the Navy will operate two of the drones as part of a program called the Penetrating Affordable Autonomous Collaborative Killer. The Air Force already has two of the same elite drones and is reported to be using them for testing purposes.

Kratos, headquartered in California, opened its Oklahoma City division in 2018 in the Will Rogers Business Park.
