New Mexico Senator wants more money for plugging of abandoned wells

New Mexico U.S. Sen. Ben Ray Lujan wants still more federal funding of the plugging of abandoned oil and gas wells that dot his state as well as Oklahoma and others.

He has filed a bill to amend the President’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to earmark hundreds of millions of dollars more for cleanup of wells on federal and Tribal lands reported the Carlsbad Current-Argus.
