Lots of new wells completed in Oklahoma

Some of the latest wells completed in Oklahoma aren’t “head turners” in oil production, but they’ll do nicely for someone’s bank account. Plus, they count as success for some of the energy companies.

First, how about the 3 natural gas wells drilled by Trinity Operating USG LLC in Pittsburg County. Combined production? Nearly 66,000 Mcf of natural gas a day.

Two of the wells were drilled on a single pad at 6 5N 14E. The site is southwest of McAlester where the Verner Trust 2-7/18/19h, completed in May at a depth of 17,378 feet, produced 26,984 Mcf of natural gas a day. The well had a December 2021 spud date according to the completion report.

The Verner Trust 3-7/18h, drilled at 19,364 feet in the Woodford, produced 24,434 Mcf of natural gas upon completion in May of this year.

Trinity Operating’s third Pittsburg County well was the Carney 1-8/5h, completed in November of 2021 from a drilled depth of 18,822 feet in the Woodford. Located at 18 7N 18E, outside of Quinton, the well produced 14,564 Mcf of natural gas. The well had a November 2019 spudding.

The completion of a Blaine County well, the Yosemite 18-13-32 1h, located at 32 18N 13W, located 5 miles south of Canton, was reported this week by Staghorn Petroleum II, LLC. The well, completed in March at a drilled depth of 16,160 feet in the Mississippian play, produced 294 barrels of oil and 6,076 Mcf of natural gas a day. The well was spudded in November 2021.

Camino Natural Resources LLC reported September completions of the Cattlemans 1207 32-5-3mxh and the Cattlemans 1107 5-32-4wxh.

The Cattlemans 1207, located at 29 12N 7W, a mile south of El Reno and west of Highway US 81, produced 575 barrels of oil a day along with 2,961 Mcf of natural gas. Drilled depth was 18,070 feet following a May 23, 2022 spudding according to the completion report.

The Cattlemans 1107, located at 5 11N 7W in an adjoining section, produced 207 barrels of oil a day and 2,350 Mcf of natural gas. Drilled depth was 18,315 feet  following an April spudding according to the completion report.

A Garvin County well drilled by CPRP Services LLC produced 773 barrels of oil a day and 513 Mcf of natural gas. The Prairie 0404 33-28 5sxh, located at 33 4N 4W , two miles southwest of Erin Springs, had a drilled depth of 16,022 feet in the Goddard formation. The completion report showed a spudding in June with completion in early September.

Three wells drilled by Citizen Energy III LLC on a single pad in Grady County had nearly 12,000 Mcf combined natural gas production. All three are located at 20 8N 7W, 3 miles south of Pocassett, and were completed in September. The Kennedy 2h-29-32 produced 3,451 Mcf of natural gas and 23 barrels of oil from a drilled depth of 24,873 feet in the Mississippian. It was spudded in April of 2022.

The Kennedy 1-h-29-32 produced 4,348 Mcf of natural gas and 13 barrels of oil a day from a depth of 25,076 feet in the Woodford.

The Eubank 1h-29-32 had production of 4,132 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 25,675 feet in the Woodford.

Marathon Oil completed two significant gas wells in Grady County. The Gretzky 0406 3-2-35wxh was the larger of the two with natural gas production of 20,736 Mcf a day when the well was completed in March of this year. Drilled depth in the Woodford was 25,662 feet and the well site was 5 miles south of Alex with a legal description of 11 4N 6W.

CPRP Services LLC filed a completion report on the Blanca 0504 4-9-16 4wxh in McClain County. Completion was made in July at a depth of 19,367 feet following an April spud date. The well is located at 4 5N 4W, or about 3 miles north of Lindsay and produced 778 barrels of oil a day along with 1,037 Mcf of natural gas.

Continental Resources came up with two wells from a single pad with combined natural gas production of 35,997 Mcf a day. Located in Blaine County at 4 14N 13W, a site about 10 miles southwest of Watonga, the two wells were completed in August.

The Nw Cowan Fiu 3-4-9-16xhm produced 17,119 Mcf of natural gas and 44 barrels of oil a day from a depth of 27,700 feet. The Nw Cowan Fiu 2-4-9-16xhm produced 18,878 Mcf of natural gas and 67 barrels of oil a day from a drilled depth of 27,929 feet.

Continental also filed completion reports on 3-Grady County wells drilled on a single pad and had combined production of 834 barrels of oil a day. Combined natural gas production was 13,956 Mcf a day.

The Niswonger wells were drilled at16 6N 6W, just east of Chickasha and were completed in July and August of this year.

The Niswonger 5-16-9xhm, with a depth of 24,315 feet, produced 478 barrels of oil a day and 7,315 Mcf of natural gas.

The Niswonger 3-16-9xhw had a drilled depth of 24,336 feet and produced 172 barrels of oil a day and 3,755 Mcf of natural gas.

The Niswonger 1-16-9xhw produced 184 barrels of oil a day and 3,886 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 24,625 feet.

Ovintiv USA, a company with a history of big wells in Kingfisher County, filed completion reports on 3 more wells, each on the same pad located at 1 15N 7W. The site is about 3 miles southeast of the city of Kingfisher and combined production was 1,507 barrels of oil a day.

The Knauss 1507 4h-1x, completed in June produced 551 barrels of oil a day and 831 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 17,115 feet in the Mississippian formation.

The Knauss 1507 2h-1x, with a drilled depth of 16,946 feet, produced 458 barrels of oil and 809 Mcf of natural gas a day.

The Knauss 1507 3h-1x produced 498 barrels of oil a day and 695 Mcf of natural gas at a drilled depth of 18,234 feet.
