Another drop for crude oil prices, thanks to the uncertainty of the market. Oklahoma energy stocks also suffered losses in the day’s trading.
West Texas Intermediate crude for January delivery, considered the U.S. benchmark, dropped $2.68 a barrel to settle at $74.25 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude fell below $80 per barrel for the second time in 2022. Brent for February delivery fell $3.33 to $79.35 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
January natural gas fell 11 cents to $5.47 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Oklahoma energy stocks suffered losses for the most part on Tuesday as Gulfport Energy dropped nearly 6% and Devon Energy, Empire Petroleum, ONE Gas and Unit Corporation each fell about 4%.
