Oklahoma regulator to provide update on Southwest Power Pool activities

 

Oklahoma Corporation Commission Chair Dana Murphy will be presenting an update on activities at the Southwest Power Pool (SPP),  many of which will impact Oklahoma utilities and their customers.

The public meeting will be held Tuesday, October 18 at 9:30 a.m. in Room 301 of the Jim Thorpe State Office Building, 2101 North Lincoln, OKC. It will be livestreamed and recorded. To view the livestream, click here – Livestream -and choose Watch meetings live.

The SPP is a regional transmission organization with the mission of ensuring reliable supplies of power, adequate transmission infrastructure and competitive wholesale electricity prices to its members. Oklahoma is one of 14 states that comprise the SPP region.  Murphy has served as the Oklahoma member of the SPP’s Regional State Committee since 2011.
