The question for crude oil investors is—will prices recover Monday after the 3% drop on Friday? Oklahoma energy stocks had the same setback.
Investors backed off crude oil because of their continuing global recession fears along with a weak oil demand, especially in China.
Global benchmark, Brent crude for December delivery dropped $2.94 or about 3% to $91.63 a barrel in trading on ICE Futures Europe.
November natural gas fell 29 cents or about 4% to $6.45 per 1,000 cubic feet.
The impact was felt by Oklahoma energy stocks. Losses ranged as high as nearly 9% for some firms while a host of others had 5% ,6% and 7% drops for the day.
It also proved to a ‘down’ day for other energy stocks according to the Texas Energy Report.
