Interior Secretary Deb Haaland is under pressure by a coalition of more than 50 groups to halt new oil and gas leasing and fracking around the Greater Chaco region of northwest New Mexico.

An estimated 10,000 people say the Biden administration should live up to its promise to protect the Native American region, this after the Bureau of Land Management recently upheld the Trump administration’s sale of about 45,000 acres of oil and gas leases in the region reported WildEarth Guardians.
