Government environmental agencies come down hard on Oklahoma City based firms

Major Increases to EPA Penalty Fines - NES

 

Oklahoma City companies January Environmental Services and January Transport have agreed to pay a $1.9 million civil penalty to settle Oklahoma and U.S. Justice Department claims they violated federal environmental law.

Investigations by the EPA and the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality led to claims the two firms transported and stored hazardous wastes without a permit reported The Oklahoman.
