Power lines are believed to have caused the massive April fire that killed two persons and destroyed more than 200 homes in the Ruidoso, New Mexico area.

The Albuquerque Journal reports it is the finding of a state investigator who said strong, gusty winds topped a drought-stressed tree causing electrical lines to arc and igniting the McBride Fire.
