If you thought the addition of 87,000 more IRS agents was the growth of big government, consider what happened in the U.S. Energy Department in recent days.

The Biden administration, even before the President officially put the IRS growth into effect with the Tuesday signing of his Inflation Reduction Act, had already implemented the creation of two more large bureaucratic agencies focused on energy.

The Grid Deployment Office and the Office of State and Community Energy Programs were created to emphasize more than $23 billion in investments in the country’s power grid. Funding will come from the Bipartisan Infrastructure law reported T&D World.
