Dewey County is site of large oil producer for Blake Production

You don’t normally see much about Blake Production Company, a firm based in Oklahoma City. But this week, Blake filed a completion report on a Dewey County well with nearly 1,200 barrels of oil a day in production.

The Cypress 1816 1-35h, located about 5 miles southeast of Taloga (35 18N 16W) was completed in June of this year with production of 1,166 barrels of oil and 1,529 Mcf of natural gas a day. Drilled depth was 14,568 feet in the Red Fork formation following a spud date in late April according to the completion report.

Two Canadian County well completions were filed this week. Camino Natural Resources LLC completed the Black Kettle 1207 25-36-3mxh located at 25 12N 7W, a site 3 miles southeast of El Reno. It had production of 278 barrels of oil and 741 Mcf of natural gas a day from a depth of 17,412 feet in the Mississippian formation. Completion was made May 18 following a January spud date.

The second Canadian County well, Skywalker 34-27-11-6 2mxh,  located at 34 11N 6W or 4 miles west of Mustang produced 621 barrels of oil a day along with 2,489 Mcf of natural gas when completed in December 2019 from a depth of 20,033 feet in the Mississippian. Citizen Energy III LLC spudded the well in July 2019.

Continental Resources filed completions on two Garvin County wells. The Rcl 4-19-30-31xhw, 19 3N 4W, produced 158 barrels of oil and 3,963 Mcf of natural gas a day from a depth of 28,968 feet in the Woodford formation. The completion report showed a spud date of September 2021.

Continental’s second Garvin County well was the Rcl-5-30-19xhw located at 30 3N 4W which

produced 183 barrels of oil a day and 3,354 Mcf of natural gas from 25,039 feet in the Woodford formation. It was completed in early March of this year following an October 2021 spud date.

 

A Hughes County gas well was completed by Foundation Energy Management LLC. The Kay Lynn 3031-1hx, completed in March at 19 7N 9E produced 2,716 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 11,918 feet in the Woodford formation. It was spudded in September of 2017 according to the completion report.
