Producers still active in STACK and SCOOP plays in Oklahoma

Continental Resources Boosts Its Powder River Footprint | Hart Energy

 

Newly-filed completion reports show a few Oklahoma energy companies were busy drilling wells in the STACK and SCOOP plays of the state.

Continental Resources reported completion of two Blaine County wells drilled on the same pad with combined production of about 600 barrels of oil a day, but gas production of more than 18,000 Mcf a day.

The Randolph 3-34-27xhm, completed in February of this year at 34 15N 13W, a site about 8 miles southwest of the city of Watonga, was the largest producer at 413 barrels of oil a day and 11,255 Mcf of natural gas. The well, spudded in November 2021 had a drilled depth of 20,042 feet into the Mississippian formation, according to its completion report.

The Randolph 4-34-27xhm, drilled on the same pad had production of 7,007 Mcf of natural gas along with 163 barrels of oil a day from a drilled depth of 20,034 feet. The completion report showed a spud date in October 2021.

Two Canadian County wells drilled by Citizen Energy III LLC, at 5 12N 10W, a site east of Hinton and north of the Canadian River had combined natural gas production of nearly 5,400 Mcf a day.

The River View 1h-5-32 was completed in February of this year at a depth of 24,055 feet in the Mississippian formation after a November, 2021 spud date according to its completion report.

The River View 2h-5-32 was completed in February at a depth of 23,990 feet, also in the Mississippian and had production of 2,724 Mcf of natural gas a day. Its completion report showed a spud date of December 2021.

Citizen Energy of Tulsa also filed completion reports on six Grady County wells including three on a single pad.

The trio of wells drilled at 25 9N 5W, a site in the Bridge Creek community and adjacent to the H.E. Bailey Turnpike, were actually completed in October 2021 but the completion reports were just filed with state regulators.

The County Line 1h-24-13 produced 720 barrels of oil a day and 738 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 20,428 feet in the Woodford formation after a July 2021 spud date, according to its completion report.

The County Line 2h-24-13 produced 764 barrels of oil a day along with 461 Mcf of natural gas. Its drilled depth was 20,396 feet following a July 2021 spud date, per the completion report.

The County Line 3h-24-13, drilled at a depth of 20,490 feet also in the Woodford produced 545 barrels of oil a day and 308 Mcf of natural gas. Its completion report showed a spud date in July, 2021.

Citizen Energy III also completed two wells on a single pad at 8 8N 7W , a site about a mile west of the town of Pocasset with combined oil production of only 110 barrels of oil and 3,241 Mcf of natural gas a day. The Cotner 1h-8 was completed in January, 2022 and the Cotner 2-h 8 was completed in March of this year.

The sixth well to be completed by Citizen Energy was the Sandrock 1h-36-25 located at 36 9N 6W or about one mile southwest of the Bridge Creek community. With a spud date of June 2021, the Sandrock produced 178 barrels of oil a day along with 456 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 21,642 feet. It was completed in November 2021.
