Tight fuel supplies caused by sanctions on Russian oil over its invasion of Ukraine along with increased summer demand sent crude oil prices rebounding on Tuesday. Oklahoma energy stocks also saw prices go back up for the day.
West Texas Intermediate crude for July delivery rose $1.09 or nearly 1% to finish at $110.65 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for August delivery went up 52 cents or about half-a-percent and closed at $114.65 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
July natural gas fell 13 cents to $6.81 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Energy stocks in Oklahoma started off the week on a strong day with several in the range of 7, 8 and 9% gains, but nothing like the 14% bump for NGL Energy Partners.
