Latest big producers in western Oklahoma

A Western Oklahoma well drilled by the Kaiser-Francis Oil Company of Tulsa brought in more than 2,100 barrels of oil a day.

The Muno 5-13-16 1h, drilled in Custer County at 5 13N 16W, a site about 3 miles southwest of the town of Custer City was completed in March of this year. It had production of 2,129 barrels of oil a day along with 205 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 16,863 feet into the Cherokee formation.

The well had a January 2022 spud date according to the completion report.

Devon Energy filed a completion report on a Blaine County well with production approaching 1,200 barrels of oil a day.

The Columbine 22_15_10-15n-10w 5hxx, located at 27 15N 10W, or 10 miles southeast of Watonga was completed in December 2021. Its initial production was 1,181 barrels of oil a day and 3,786 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of  26,696 feet in the Mississippian formation.

The spud date was in April of 2021 according to the completion report.

Mewbourne Oil Company filed reports on two wells in Ellis County. The Joe Don 29/20 Ob 1h, drilled at 29 18N 24W, drilled 10 miles south of the town of Arnett produced 374 barrels of oil a day and 712 Mcf of natural gas when completed in December 2021. The well, drilled to a depth of 19,964 feet into the Cherokee formation had an April 2021 spud date according to its completion report.

The Sally Jaree 32/5 Bo 1h, located at 32 18N 24W and drilled immediately adjacent to the Joe Don well from a depth of 20,375 feet produced 306 barrels of oil a day and 782 Mcf of natural gas. It too was in the Cherokee formation but had an October 2021 spud date according to its completion report.

 

 

Trinity Operating USG LLC filed completion reports on 3 gas wells, two on a single pad and adjacent to the third, in Pittsburg County. The Ponderosa Sw 2-34/27/22h, drilled at 3 7N 17E, a site west of the town of Quinton, produced 4,107 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 18,860 feet in the Woodford formation. The well had a spud date of October 2019 but wasn’t completed until November 2021 according to the completion report.

The second well located on the same spud, the Little Joe 1-35/26h, produced 4,169 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 18,558 feet, also in the Woodford formation. It too had an October 2019 spud date with completion in November of last year according to the completion report.

The third well, the Irene 1-34/3h, located at 34 8N 17E, an adjacent site, was listed as a dry hole. It had an October 2019 spud date and drilling finished in December of that year, with the completion report stating, ” TRINITY OPERATING USG LLC WAITING ON BETTER ECONOMICS TO COMPLETE WELL.”
