Lankford calls for American energy independence to relieve high gas prices

Sen. Lankford: Biden's green agenda 'spiraling out of control' due to inflation | Fox News

Oklahoma U.S. Sen. James Lankford used a Fox News interview to call for America’s energy independent in order to lower gasoline prices in the nation.

Interviewed on Faulkner Focus, he spoke of President Biden’s ongoing border crisis but also touched on the inability of the Biden administration to lower gas prices.

It was in reaction to Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm’s comments that the administration can’t do anything about it and instead the nation needs renewable energy.

Lankford disagreed with the Energy Secretary’s comments saying gas prices went up 50 percent in the first year of the Biden presidency because of their agenda to push Americans to renewable energy by raising the price of gas. He called for the Biden Administration to focus on US energy production instead of making the US more reliant on nations like China for energy infrastructure inputs like critical minerals.
