Rep. Mullin told the President he and his socialist agenda are to blame for the energy crisis

We are better than this': OK Rep. Mullin speaks to GMA about chaos at Capitol | KTUL

Oklahoma Congressman Markwayne Mullin suggests President Biden has forgotten the reason the Strategic Petroleum Reserve was created. And he told him so in a direct letter mailed April 8.

He wrote the President this week urging him to reconsider releasing more oil from the SPR and bluntly told him his release of more crude from the Reserve will do little to help Americans. The congressman told the President his actions show that his policies “are historic failures.”

Mullin directly blamed the President and his energy decisions such as halting the Keystone XL pipeline, for the rising cost of oil and gas, telling Biden they “have all lent their hand to this crisis that many Americans are facing.”

Rep. Mullin also spoke against the President’s intended use of the Defense Production Act to increase electric vehicle battery production.

“I believe in an ‘all of the above’ energy strategy, but this is a false flag that will do nothing to impact the inflated gas prices that are burning a hole in Americans’ pockets while costing the taxpayers over $750 million,” said the Republican Representative from eastern Oklahoma.

He called the plan “insulting” to rural Oklahomans who won’t benefit at all from the program.

“Instead of using the Defense Production Act to shore up your socialist agenda, your administration needs to get out of the way and remove all of the burdensome regulations you have placed on this industry,” admonished the Congressman.
