Drag queen Sam Brinton has been hired as deputy assistant secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition in the office of nuclear energy for the Department of Energy. This is the very subject—nuclear waste—that drew the focus of Oklahoma U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe during a Senate committee hearing this week.
It raises the question whether Sen. Inhofe, a known staunch conservative, will work hand-in-hand (sorry) with Brinton.
