Tuesday provided a mixed day for crude oil trading as prices rose slightly in the U.S. but fell overseas. Still, Oklahoma energy stocks performed strongly for the day.
West Texas Intermediate crude for March delivery managed a 5 cent gain to $88.20 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for April delivery slipped a dime to finish the day at $89.16 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
March natural gas fell 12 cents to $4.75 per 1,000 cubic feet.
To say it was a good day in trading for Oklahoma energy stocks is an under statement. All but two of the local firms recorded gains for the day including the largest at 8% for Unit Corporation.
