Crude oil pushes higher to $92 in U.S.

Oil price: Oil prices rise on demand prospects as lockdowns start to ease, Energy News, ET EnergyWorld

Crude oil prices hit their highest mark in the U.S. since the fall of 2014, settling at more than $92 a barrel.

West Texas Intermediate crude for March delivery shot up $2.04 or 2.3% to settle at $92.31 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Global benchmark Brent crude for April delivery rose $2.16 or 2.4% to $93.27 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.

Crude prices for the week rose 5.4%.

March natural gas fell 32 cents to $4.57 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Some Oklahoma energy stocks performed strongly on Friday with Helmerich & Payne gaining more than 7%. Laredo Petroleum and Continental Resources had gains of about 4%.
