Analysts and investors await Monday’s trading activity to see if crude prices will maintain their increase this week. On Friday, prices settled up on expectation that OPEC+ will maintain its production cuts.
West Texas Intermediate crude for December delivery rose Friday by 76 cents or nearly 1% to finish at $83.57 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for January delivery managed a 6 cent increase amounting to .08% to close at $83.72 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
December natural gas fell 36 cents or 6.16% to $5.43 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Oklahoma energy stocks must have been worried about the spooky approaching Halloween night as only 5 stocks managed gains and with one exception, they weren’t much. Mammoth Energy came up with a more than 5% gain for the day.
