As executives of Public Service Company of New Mexico went before state regulators this week, they warned of electric power brownouts in 2022 because of the planned shutdown of the coal-fired San Juan Generating Station.

PNM, the largest utility in New Mexico faces the potential brownouts because it cannot replace the San Juan with planned solar power projects reported The Santa Fe New Mexican.
