If you think it’s a misprint that Ovintiv Mid-Continental Inc. has struck more big oil producers in Oklahoma’s STACK, it’s not.
The company has reported yet two more wells on a single pad with production totaling more than 2,100 barrels of oil a day from a site in Kingfisher County.
The Walta 1507 wells, located at 9 15N 7W , a site about 2 miles south of the Kingfisher hospital along highway US 81, are only about 3 miles from a site where Ovintiv brought in 3 single pad wells with more than 3,000 barrels of oil a day production.
One well had production of 1,032 barrels of oil a day and 2,639 Mcf of natural gas following a September 2020 spud date. Drilling finished in December of last year and completion was made in May 2021 from a depth of 18,790 feet in the Mississippian.
The second Walta well had production of 1,098 barrels of oil a day and 1,429 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 18,588 feet. It’s completion was the same date in May.
