Some parts of Oklahoma were put under an unhealthy air alert on Tuesday by the Department of Environmental Quality.

The combination of temperatures into the 90s along with high humidity added to the growing concern.

The weather forecasts also indicate the heat wave will be with the state for the next few weeks, adding to the likelihood of more such air alerts.
