Choctaw Nation takes complaints to the White House

 

The growing fight between the state of Oklahoma and Native American tribes following the McGirt Supreme Court ruling has gone to the White House.

It’s where the Choctaw Nation has taken its complaints over police and safety funding for Indian territory reported Tribal Business News and Native News Online.

The fight also extends to the state’s claim that it has regulatory power over energy and oil and gas production on Indian lands.
