After Monday’s increase, crude oil prices took a slight fall in the US and in Europe on Tuesday and Oklahoma energy stocks went with them.
West Texas Intermediate crude, considered the benchmark U.S. crude oil for July delivery dropped 60 cents and settled at $73.06 a barrel.
The global benchmark, Brent crude for August delivery scored a 9 cent fall and finished the day at $74.81 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
July natural gas rose 7 cents to $3.26 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Just as Tuesday was a windy day across the state, the winds shifted the gains to losses for most Oklahoma energy stocks.
LSB Industries, Inc. recorded the largest loss at 5.88% on a 38 cent fall to $6.08. NGL Energy Partners LP managed the biggest gain at 3.98% on a 9 cent climb to $2.35 a share.
