Crude oil prices made another big stride in Wednesday’s trading as they hit $71 overseas and nearly $69 in the U.S.
Global benchmark Brent crude for August delivery went up $1.10 to reach $71.35 a barrel in ICE Futures Europe.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil for July deliver rose $1.11 to hit $68.83 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
July natural gas fell 2 cents to $3.08 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Two Oklahoma energy companies recorded big gains for the day.
NGL Energy Partners LP gained 12.10% on a 30 cent climb to $2.78 for the day.
SandRidge Energy Inc. rose 50 cents for a gain of 8.85% to $6.09.
Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. increased 2 cents for a 0.32% gain to $6.24.
Blueknight Energy Partners LP dropped 4 cents for a 0.97% loss to $4.08.
Chesapeake Energy lost 2.665 on a fall of $1.46 to $53.42.
Cimarex Energy Co. jumped $2.83 for a 4.15% gain to $70.96.
Continental Resources, Inc. gained 1.13% on a 40 cent hike to $35.84.
Cypress Environmental Partners LP rose 12 cents for a 5.31% gain to $2.38.
Devon Energy Corp rose 60 cents to $30.80 for a gain of 1.99%.
Enable Midstream Partners LP finished at $8.89 with a 15 cent climb and a 1.72% gain.
Gulfport Energy Operating Corp. fell 3 cents to $63.50 for a loss of 0.047%.
Helmerich & Payne, Inc. finished up $2.29 at $32.35 for a 7.62% gain.
LSB Industries, Inc. lost 0.91% on a 6 cent slide to $6.52.
Laredo Petroleum Inc gained 3.44% on a $2.17 increase to $65.28.
Magellan Midstream Partners, LP finished up 81 cents for a 1.61% gain to $51.14.
Mammoth Energy Services Inc. gained 1.04% as shares rose 4 cents to $3.90.
Matrix Service Co increased 5 cents for a 0.45% gain to $11.14.
OGE Energy Corp. lost 0.58% on a 20 cent fall to $34.04.
ONE Gas Inc. jumped 45 cents to $74.84 for a 0.60% gain.
ONEOK, Inc. rose 49 cents for a 0.91% gain to $54.25.
Ovintiv Inc. finished up 52 cents for a 1.79% gain to $29.61.
PHX Minerals Inc settled at $3.15 with a 14 cent increase and a 4.65% gain.
Unit Corporation added $1 for a 6.45% gain to $16.50.
Williams Companies Inc’s shares rose 40 cents for a 1.49% gain to $27.29.
