New Mexico filed suit against a Texas oil and gas company over abandoned well operations just north of the Permian Basin in southeast New Mexico.
Northstar Operating Company based in Midland, Texas and its two well operators Cano Petro and Cross Border Resources were sued by the State Land Office according to a report by the Carlsbad Current Argus.
