Army Corps of Engineers says Dakota Access oil pipeline to stay open during review

 

 

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers repeated its stand this week that the Dakota Access oil pipeline should remain open while it carries out an extensive environmental review.

The Corps’ stance is in direct opposition to the arguments of the Standing Rock Sioux and other Native American tribes that filed for an injunction asking a federal judge to shut down the pipeline while a second review is underway.
