Oilfield firms sued in claims of patent infringement

 

Two major players in Oklahoma’s oil and gas industry, Halliburton Co. and Cimarex Energy Co. were sued by oilfield firm U.S. Well Services which accused them of infringing on its electric fracking patents.

The lawsuit alleges Houston-based Halliburton’s all-electric fracturing fleet violates several U.S. Well Services patents for electric pumps and pumping systems and monitoring and control systems reported Reuters.

Cimarex Energy is headquartered in Denver, Colorado.
