A major producer in the Permian Basin, BP Plc plans to spend more than $1 billion on construction of a network of pipes and infrastructure to collect and capture natural gas from its oil wells in Texas and New Mexico.
The plans will eliminate routine flaring of natural gas in the basin by 2025 according to Bloomberg.
