Another STACK producer from Colorado’s Ovintiv Inc.

Ovintiv Mid-Continent Inc. offered evidence in the past few weeks that it remained active in 2020 despite the COVID-19 pandemic that caused a near total shutdown of the oil and gas exploration in Oklahoma and the rest of the U.S.

The latest example? A completion report showed Ovintiv came up with a nearly 1,500-barrel a day well in Kingfisher County right in the heart of the STACK.

It drilled the South Stangl 1509 4h-12x  at 12 15N 9W which is a site 10 miles southwest of the city of Kingfisher. The well produced 1,490 barrels of oil a day along with 3,009 Mcf of natural gas from a drilling depth of 19,441 feet when it was completed in late November 2020.

The well had a June 2020 spud date and drilling ended in August.

Continental Resources Inc. filed a completion report on a Grady County well at 17 7N 5W which is east of Chickasha in the SCOOP area where the company has been active over the past few years. The Lambrecht 3-17-20xhw produced 226 barrels of oil a day and 525 Mcf of natural gas.

It was completed in March 2020 and had production from a depth of 19,032 feet in the Woodford. The well had a late 2019 spud date according to its completion report.
