US sets a record for energy storage

 

When NextEra Energy put Oklahoma’s first battery energy storage system on line last month near Marlow, it joined a quickly growing national movement of energy storage.

In the last three months, the energy storage market in the U.S. has boomed reported QUARTZ which stated that new data from Wood Mackenzie gave a major boost to renewables.

As OK Energy Today reported in mid-November, NextEra’s Rush Springs energy storage system is comprised of nine storage containers filled with thousands of battery modules similar to those found in a laptop computer.
