Wind power growth seen in Oklahoma and Texas

 

When it comes to growth in wind power, Oklahoma and Texas could be on their way to creating a record-breaking year across the U.S.

A report by Renewables Now indicated Texas still had the most wind turbine capacity of all states with 29.1 GW in place as of August this year. The state is on track to add 4 more GW by the end of 2020.

Oklahoma is expected to add another 2.7 GW in wind power by the end of the year. The addition will improve the state’s wind capacity from 8.2 GW to 10.9 GW.
